Eric Rice serves as the Director of the DC Minority Business Enterprise Center (DCMBEC). Mr. Rice is responsible for carrying out the DCMBEC’s mission to enhance the economic performance and growth of minority business enterprises (MBEs) in the National Capital Region through business consulting, providing access to capital, and providing access to procurement markets. Mr. Rice gained valuable experience in financial management in his previous positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Schering-Plough Corporation, and most recently at the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, DC Public Schools. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rice developed and managed MBE programs for over three years for the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MHFA). In this capacity, he managed MBE trade fairs, business management courses, mentor programs, and an MBE loan fund in collaboration with the Community Development Finance Corporation, and increased related MBE sales revenues from $3MM to $15MM during his tenure.
Mr. Rice received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts and his Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School in New York City.
