robert-strupp_lores.jpg Joining NCRC in April, 2010 as Manager-Systemic Investigations, Mr. Strupp (Rob) will be focusing on NCRC initiatives designed to promote policies that foster more inclusive communities, prevent housing discrimination and strengthen enforcement of fair housing laws in cooperation with NCRC’s Housing Counseling Network and National Neighbors staff.  

 

From 2006-2010, Rob was the Director of Research and Policy with the Community Law Center, in Baltimore, leading projects to combat predatory and deceptive real estate transactions. Rob served on homeownership preservation coalitions and chaired a statewide enforcement committee, bringing to the table the regulated, regulators, public officials, advocates, funders and others concerned with the residential real estate process.  Rob has served on numerous real estate workgroups, including several convened by the Maryland Governor and Attorney General and serves as an expert witness for prosecutors, and consumer attorneys . Rob has become a resource for the media, government and other organizations and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Baltimore Sun, US News & World Report, and other publications. Rob was featured in a documentary on the mortgage crisis entitled “American Casino”, which premiered at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, and serves as a continuing education instructor.

Rob, a native of Washington, DC , is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
