Christopher Goett

Director, Membership and Organizing

CGoett picImmediately before joining NCRC, Christopher was the Director of Community Assessment and Evaluation at Community Preservation and Development Corporation, a non-profit affordable housing developer working in the Mid-Atlantic region. In this capacity, he led a team of analysts in creating holistic data profiles for all existing properties and potential new developments. This data was developed in concert with residents to determine the assets, strengths, needs, and physical attributes of targeted communities. Goett's other national and local level macro social work has been focused primarily within low-income communities. To date, Goett has worked collaboratively with over 40 different community organizing and advocacy groups in 5 different metropolitan regions.

Mr. Goett also worked for the Consensus Organizing Institute, a nonprofit organization working to reverse social and civic isolation in distressed neighborhoods throughout the United States. He managed community organizing initiatives related to regional smart growth issues in low-income communities throughout San Diego, California. Additionally, Mr. Goett worked with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and lectured at the University of California, San Diego on regionalism and leadership development.

Mr. Goett graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts from Villanova University. He earned a Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis on community organizing, development, and management from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work.
