About the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC)
Originating in the 1990's, the National Community Reinvestment
Coalition is now the nation's leading association for economic
justice in the housing marketplace. NCRC's members consist
of over six hundred local organizations throughout the country,
including civil groups, local and state government agencies,
and development corporations. NCRC and its members use regulations
and policy tools to hold financial institutions to their legal,
moral and social responsibilities.
The mission of NCRC is to increase equal and fair access
to credit, capital, and banking services/products because discrimination
is illegal, unjust, and detrimental to the economic growth
and well being of our society. NCRC seeks to support and provide
long-term solutions, which include providing tolls to building
community and individual net worth.
