Let's Plan

“Let’s Plan” is a two- to three-hour seminar for women interested in starting businesses who have no experience with completing a business plan. This session of 25 – 30 women will demonstrate how to brainstorm a feasible business concept based on class input. It will walk through the basics for completing a business plan outline that includes a detailed description of: product or service offering, target client, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, basic financials and an analysis of the competition. Participants will leave with the sample business plan outline and the know-how to complete their own plan.

Let’s Scale

“Let’s Scale” is a two- to three-hour seminar for business owners who have been in business at least two years and are looking for opportunities to grow and begin the next phase of their businesses. Topics will include identifying processes and procedures, how to outsource for essential company functions (human resources, chief financial officer, etc.) and government contracting.

Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) Working Group Program

This is a two-day, 10-hour training course. In the first two hours, a U.S. Small Business Administration expert will assist the participants in certification for federal government contracting as a WOSB. The remaining time will be spent discussing how federal government contracting works by reviewing requests for proposals, business development and capture management strategies by the director of NCRC’s Washington, DC WBC.
