NCRC's Housing Counseling Network offers free 4-hour homebuying education classes by webinar to participants interested in purchasing a home and who have been referred to NCRC.

The webinar will include:

• Preparing for Homeownership
• Managing Your Money
• Understanding Credit
• Obtaining a Mortgage Loan
• Shopping for a Home
• Protecting Your Investment

Applicants have the option to attend a full four-hour webinar on a Saturday, a Saturday, or two 2-hour sessions on consecutive week night evenings from 6-8 p.m. EST. (If you choose to participate over two nights, please register for both part 1 and part 2.)

Upon completion of the course, applicants are required to complete a one-on-one counseling session with an approved HUD counselor at NCRC. The counseling session may last anywhere from 1-2 hours, and is tailored to each applicant.

Applicants will also receive a certificate of completion. This certificate can be used for down payment assistance, closing cost incentives, and interest rate incentives. The certificate is valid for one year. If the applicant does not purchase within that time frame, a refresher counseling session will be require prior to receiving a new certificate.
