Mahwish Khan
Mahwish Khan joined NCRC in January as our Special Publications and Online Coordinator. Mahwish comes to NCRC with master’s degrees in both Public Communication and Journalism. She is a published writer who has designed publications both in the US and in her native country of Pakistan, where she has also worked in filmmaking, web design, advertising, and photography. In 2007, she was hired by various NGOs in Peshawar, Pakistan to create brochures and other print materials promoting awareness about their programs. Since then, Mahwish has focused almost entirely on the design and messaging of PR materials, particularly for nonprofits. While she was pursuing her Public Communication degree from American University, she worked in the Publications Department of a prestigious Washington, DC think tank, as well as in the Communications and E-Outreach Department of a small nonprofit working to empower women in developing countries.
