Marina Rota

MarinaMarina Rota has worked with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) for many years. She first joined NCRC as a student member during her graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University. With NCRC’s assistance, Ms. Rota wrote the policy-centered thesis, “Bridging Troubled Waters: The Role of CRA Community Development Activities in Fostering the Social Capital of Mediating Institutions.” After completing her thesis, she worked as a consultant with the World Bank where she supported outreach on participatory community economic development. She also worked at the Fannie Mae Foundation, where she supported NCRC chief operating officer Jim Carr’s grant-making and external relations initiatives. Ms. Rota has served as a volunteer member of NCRC’s Global Fair Banking Initiative, and in this capacity, leveraged her relationship with the World Bank to publicize NCRC’s international conference. Ms. Rota has a Publications Specialist Certificate from the George Washington University and a BA in Italian from Rutgers College.
