Nadiyah Thomas-Mitchell is the Program Training Manager of the National Training Academy at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC). As one of HUD’s (Office of Housing Counseling) training partners, NCRC assesses and delivers on the training needs of a nationwide network of housing counselors, and Nadiyah aligns this process within the organization.

Nadiyah’s passion for empowering her community led her to finding her place within the housing counseling industry. Over the years, her role as a housing counselor evolved as she began to connect the work of housing counseling with workforce development initiatives.

Prior to her work in housing counseling, Nadiyah was employed in various roles in the financial industry. In previous positions she has served as an Assistant Vice President with Chase Bank and a Branch Manager at H&R Block.

Nadiyah has a Bachelor of Communication and Sociology from the College of St. Elizabeth. She is also a HUD Certified Housing Counselor. When not engaged in her work, Nadiyah enjoys traveling with her husband and three children.
